Griz is fixing to rise again MR Just recieved the rest of my video equipment today so stay tuned for some killer video from the Lampasas race on the 30th. 3 cameras should just about do the trick I think. I sure would like to stay on the nitro side but I gotta go 100mph at least once in my life. Only I want to do it with a Pro Mod. I'll run my nitro bike in addition to the flashlight so that should ease the pain a bit. You have that photoshop stuff down. I can get close but my smoke and flying dirt just doesn't look right. Check out the track site for the race on the 30th. This place is smoother than a baby's butt. And its about 20 minutes from my house.

Awesome BBQ and Beer close by for the after race bs session too.

Here is another Ogle masterpiece. I'm gonna run this puppy in bracket in a couple of weeks sans wing

Thanks yours is no slouch either I love to go all out on cars. Takes me months to build one just right. But I like them to be perfect. Haven't built one in almost a year now. Been trying to learn to video races. Starting to get some pretty good results. Haven't done a drag race since the Worlds. But in a couple of weeks I'll know how much better I've gotten at it when I video the race in Lampassas. The rest of my equipment finally got here friday. The glidecam stabilizer is awesome. Like a wearable tripod but its smoother than any tripod head I've ever seen. I'll post them up on this forum once they are edited.

Thanks Buddy,ALso happy father day to all you fathers. I also think the only way to put these pro togather. Is to be perfect on the build. That way the end results will alway be good ones. GRIZ whats your thoughts on the boat pipe. I've had really great runs so far on a tune pipe(THS)Like very very good times. Not only does the boat pipe put oil spray back on the track. But it seem like a hard fit. Your thought GRIZ

Yea I check out the Squid from time to time. I used to see his posts on rcdrags. I haven't pulled the lever in almost a year myself. Concentrating on this video stuff. I got pretty burned out on R/C in general after last year. I do that though I get into things with a lot of intensity and when I start feeling like I'm getting burned out I switch over to something else for awhile.

I always cut mine off. Don't need the weight. And the motors rarely get above 200 degrees anyways. Leave 2 fins that seems to work out pretty good. Also makes it a lot easier to get to the plug. You can put it in with your fingers and you won't strip a head that way. If you have access to a mini lathe they do the best job. But I've sawed them off as well. In fact I don't know anyone that doesn't cut them off. Gets the car up to temp quicker as well. Remember you get no warm up laps in Drag Racing

I didn't know there was a forum there. I've seen the site but haven't paid much attention to drag racing for many months now. Lots happened as I'm finding out. Right now I'm busy getting everything ready for next weekends race in Lampasas. But when I get those videos done I'll get a login and check out the sites.

Hi John,

Nice, real nice. ABSOLUTELY love the slingshot style with the open framerails. You hiding the steering servo under the cowling and using a drag link off the left side, or?

Hope you guys find a strip soon. Yea, a small airport facility is a dream come true. At least Lampasas, Texas was. Smooth and lots of run off.
