[:-][sm=drowning.gif] Hey Cupcake, This is Mopartydeb, So is this why you're not running boats anymore? I guess you've been cupcaken it. ha ha ha ha.... Nice job on the gasser, does it run or is it a shelf queen? I guess it's a shelf queen cuz nothing of yours run... Ha ha ha ha. Just kidding John. What size engine do you have in that? Zachy wants to know when you're going to be running cars or anything? Give us a call when you're ready to run.

Thanks Deb

Watcha runnin for a set-up? Motor? ESC? Battery Pack? Ha! At first I said to myself, "He's even got an scale vibration damper on that blown engine up front". Turned out it was the servo saver. LOL. I went to your dossier. Nice pick-up truck too. That where the screen name came from?

You know Dan Chase? He drag races RC boats out of the SF area. Gone 98mph with his land dragster too. If so, say "Hi" to him for me next time you see him.

That's a good package to start with on the Nomad. I'm adding a link for you to NCDA. [link]http://www.ncdaracing.com/[/link] Maybe someday you can get over to NorCal Hobbies and get a timing slip or two from their track.

Your 65 p/u is truly 'old school'. Classic set up. 327 is my favorite small block. Good times too.

Please post upgrades to your Nomad as you make them. Keep up the good work. RC drag racing can use more "classic" drag cars.

Does it yank those front tires in the air when you peg it?Pretty cool build! I dig the oldschool streetrods, been wanting to get a script to the Rodders Journal $$$.This has really inspired me,I have a Bruiser frame and a ax10 axle laying around, hmmm,,,,,or maybe something different like a Bonneville belly tanker. The gears are turnin,,,tinker, tinker, tinker.

O.K. 65chevyshortbed. Now you got my drag racing nostalgia blood flowing. I've added a Parma '41 Willys and Parma Hemi Engine Kit to my Tower "Wish List". I've got a Kyosho 2WD MT chassis up in the attic unused for years. 21T motor probably-I've got lots of those. And lots of GP 2200 cells. 6 round cell pack sounds good.

We could have "Gasser Wars". Your '33 and my '41. Like the old K.S. Pittman '33 and SWC '41 (Stone, Woods and Cook - ask your dad he'll know). Yeah the SWC was a blown Olds with one of the first B&M race converted HydroMatics. But, the Parma blown Hemi will have to do. Or maybe I'll build it as a "Big John" Mazmanian '41. All three held awesome match races on the west coast in the '60s.

I'd like to see a classic/nostalgia RC drag racing class develop. Maybe scale 1/8mile (66ft) distance. Maybe limit the motor to 21T. Maybe 6 round cells or a 2s LiPo. Might be great fun.

My dad had a 55 Post with a 396 dual hi-rise with a PJ gear drive,4:11 in the rear when I was younger. We also had a 69 or 70 Bel-air wagon with a 427 [not stock if I remember] quarter mile grocery getter, that was my moms car.Grew up in Genessee county Flint Michigan,he worked for GM then AC sparkplugs which was 4 blocks from home. That was until 1980 when everything was falling thru up there.moved to Texas then.I was countin the days till I turned 16 and get my DL so I could blast my friends and their Stang's off the street. But,my dad sold it[dang it!!] to some bozo down our street before that day came.I still remember my dad opening her up and hearin that gear drive windin up over the exhaust.Hmm,,the memories.Right now I.m commiting blasphemy and using the Bruiser chassis in a scale 1.9 crawler build,I do have my original trans, shafts, mech box and some other accessories up for sale.I tell you, everytime I look at your pics of your gasser I sit here stare at the screen and go "Blap, blap, blap, bluh, blap, blap, blap, bluh,,,wa,wA,WW AAHHHHHH!!!!!!!". keep on keepin on!

Ya know?I couldnt put my finger on it until now but what your car really reminds me of are those pictures by Trosley in those old CARtoon's comic books.Remember "Krash & Burns" and the how to draw a streetrod or custom car section.I remember gettin those comics as a kid, they were the greatest!!Makes ya wonder how many of us got into cars from reading and drawin stuff out of those. "Blap, blap, blap, bluh, blap, blap, bluh,,,BWWWAAAAAAA!! !!".

Dude you dad is awsome,My dads hittin 80yrs and gave up hot roddin awhile back.Matter of fact right after that car sold.Although he did own a Monte Carlo SS[mid 80's] a couple of years. My dads kinda a enigma,he immigrated here legally from Bolivia in the 50's.Lived in Pomona California a coupla years, then moved to Muncie Indiana,Pontiac and then Flint Michigan.I guess being around the car scene and working in the auto industry until moving to Texas sucked him into it.He drives a Neon with those funky plastic spinner hubcaps from Autozone [hey, they were originally a birthday joke!!LOL!]now and hustles at the senior center poolhall. So considering he has a liscence, car and all his teeth he's a hit with the old chics at the center.NUTS!.I checked his cell phone messages oneday and there must have been 50 of them from those ladies of seniority!!Here I am lookin at your car pics again,,,"Blap, blap, blap, blap, bluh, blap, blap, blap, blap, bluh, BAAWWAAAAAHHHH!!!".Ketch ya on the flip side!
