Hi i have an older version RS4 3 and was wondering what would it take to make it a dragster?This is my first nitro onroad and saw a couple guys drag racing and it looks like fun.Any ideas?

thanks for posting this as I have been looking into this as well. first I need to know where they drag race at tho. then I can think of building a car for it. I kinda modded my savage x into a street truck and while only half way there I canned the idea with no other interest in the drag racing scene. I thought I was the only one but now there are 2!!! and right here in Deland!!! Thanks again.

i know that much, lol, thing is you cant drag race if youre the only drag car out there! lol you get lots of practice tho! if there is a substantial venue for this type of racing I am in!

Im located in Miami and im looking to get into drag racing my self...how far is deland from Miami? Let me know what you guys come up with.

like 3-4 hrs i'd say.it's45 min. from orlando and 20 min. from daytona.

dude if youre from Miami! you are in the spot!! there are tons of guys on here breaking speed records and crap down there. I used to read all their posts thinking someday I can build something half as nice as theirs. then I got bored with bashing and started in on my Savage Street Beast... got bored with that as there is noone around here to spank
tho i did get challenged from a guy with a 1/5 scale.... I think I can take him... just need to get out there and show him!!
oh yeah alot of them use RS4s or the Supers I think theyre called from HPI.

Whats guyz this is ModRodz...Ive ran a RS4 HPI for yrs and was the badest on raod str dragger for yrs Ive used a big block to a small block in it also,we started with the flag and drag,bring what up brung and hope you have enough,to all out pinks before it was a pinks the guyz here still and always will str drag even me sometimes but now I have a wallbern promod here was my str car w/a big block a HPI RS4 with a mustang body on it

well w/the small block i had modded myself out one of the first OS TZ 18 and w/ the big block I modded myself out a RB C5 here is now my current car its going to have a new paint scheme soon Ill send pictures on the forum...

Hey modrodz, I got a question for you. I currently run an rs4 w/ a .26 engine. I am having a problem right now. I think the chassis is flexing under hard acceleration. My spur gear keeps on stripping. I want to know what spur gears are you using for your rs4? Is is aluminum? If it is aluminum or steel, then I want to know who makes it. Otherwise, I will try a thicker chassis to stop the chassis flex. Thanks in advance.
