Looking to "scratchbuild" a drag racer?
Hi, Im looking at trying to build my own dragster. Ive got a few questions.
My main question is would I want a solid rear axel, or a differential? (sorry about the spelling)
Im looking to pick up a cheap rustler for 50 bucks on craigslist, for the radio gear, and stearing parts.
I will probably make my own wheels (or modify stock tires)
My goal is to stay cheap. Welding an aluminum chassis is no problem. Im mainly looking for something to bash around the street. Something I can be proud of.
Maybe someone can send me in the right direction?

RE: Looking to
Use a Solid/No Slip rear / Axle. If you want to do it cheap find a old pan car on ebay and start with that. You can build a really nice car starting with this for really cheap

RE: Looking to
Try to get a Bolink rail kit. I believe Tower Hobbies still have them, if not do a web search, that will provide a good starting point. You didn't mention if you want it electric or nitro. If you want to go electric the Bolink kit will be the best option. If you wanna go nitro, search for a New Era kit.
