Hey, I found this forum after I was checking the web stats for my company, Grand Motorsports... I followed the link back to here.

Here's a pic of my latest personal drag car, a 27-cc quarter-scale gas powered funny car.

GMS has both nitro and electric drag cars, both are fun, but the new brushless/Lipo electric dragsters are just unreal, going over 100 mph in just 132 feet.

hey mike that a cool lookin 1/4 scale what does it run in the 330 since that would be the scale guarter

M.R. Ogle 05-29-2007 04:10 PM

RE: New Drag Racing Forum

Actually, I'm running it this weekend for the first time... but we'll run 165 feet, a scale 1/8 mile, due to shutdown distance and the fact we're running with mostly 1:10 scale cars at 132 feet.

RE: New Drag Racing Forum

right but this car lol would take 2 people to carry it instead of one like the 1/10 lol

Hey all,

Count us in as part of this forum. Great find! Thank you Nathan for the start-up.

We here at AHR43 have been RC drag racing for two years now. Bracket Class, and recently a local 2.50sec Index Class. We recommend it as hobby or sport to all RCers we meet.

We hope we can contribute in a positive manner, and look forward to making new acquaintenances in the RC drag racing community.

MR OGLE, WHERE DID YOU GET THE TIRES AMD RIMS? they look good.

M.R. Ogle 05-30-2007 02:54 PM

RE: New Drag Racing Forum

The rear wheels are Go-Kart rims, however, any 40-series T-Maxx rim is the right size, and that's what I'm working on now, getting a pair of those drilled out to fit the rear hubs...the fronts are FG Marder offroad buggy front rims, just narrowed on a lathe.

The tires are all foam, and those are available from Bishop Racing Products, dot com. The body is now available through Quarterscale Legends.

Oooh mike you're gonna have some fun with that baby :D Would you be looking at a kit to sell in the near future? I can just imagine the fun trying to keep the power down on a race ported zen loaded with all the goodies

M.R. Ogle 06-02-2007 03:29 PM

RE: New Drag Racing Forum

Actually, it seems that the guys at quarterscalelegends (dot-com) are talking about producing these type of cars. They're certainly simple enough to effectively produce.... see the "New Funny Car" post under "Member's Rides".

Your members have some very nice lookin cars and Would like to know what charger body they are using and will it fit a 11 inch wheel base. And where did they get the motor?
