Looking for 1/4 Drag Tires and rims
Hello all!
Looking for a source of rubber 1/4 drag tires and rims. Used is fine. Thanks! Ed |

Foam or air filled. You can get air filled faster and cheaper.

Not yet.
We are just getting parts now. I have radios, relays and a box of goodies. The bodies will be here in a few weeks. A great winter project! Ed Juiced Drag Racing |

I don't know what kind of mounting hubs you're using, but I've seen guys run pneumatic go-kart rear slicks and wheels on the rear of their q-scale drag cars. They're a bit heavy, but they look good and last forever.
For the fronts, try narrowing a set of tenth scale T-Maxx 40-series (approx 4" diameter) monster truck wheels and putting a ring of hard foam or rubber on them. I used FG Marder 1/5 offroad 5-spoke buggy wheels, narrowed on my q-scale funny. You've seen it on QSL. (on the 'bay, RD Logics aluminum wheels, about the right size for a Q-scale car: item number 190283214378) |

Thanks Mike,
That looks to be what we are going to do on the backs. The fronts will be.....something. Thanks for the info! Ed Juiced Drag Racing |
RE: Looking for 1/4 Drag Tires and rims
Glad to help...
Which body you using? BTW, new Monster GT 8.0 rims are 3.46" diameter, light, shallow and CHEAP!! Would make nice fronts if narrowed from the back and reamed out for a pair of flanged beraings: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTZH3&P=7 |
RE: Looking for 1/4 Drag Tires and rims
We have two of the legendary reproductions old school Camaro glass bodies on the way.
One for the wife and I. Orange Crush and Speed Demon.. ( That is her, She used to drive a 1:1 Front Engine Dragster!) Most of the parts are here (but the tires and steering) and the molly tubing is ready to weld. Should be a fun winter!!! Ed |
