Ok so i just bought the tt-01D off of towerhobbies with the supra body. is it a good buy for a first elec and a first drift car?
Also as far as hop ups, what are good first upgrades?

a bit late asking after having already bought it..... but yeah id say it was a good choice, never had one but never heard complaints abut them either.

suggestion...replace all of the bushings with bearings...bushings will wear out and cause a lot of play in steering components...if you plan on drifting on a layout lock the rear diff or get a solid spool and put a front one way in it...this will make her switch back and forth beautifully...

I would also add an aluminium centre shaft and cups as the tamiya plastic centre shaft is just not up to it.
I have 2 degree toe in rear alloy uprights/knuckles, and solid diff in the back with matching unis , and a front one way with alloy steering knuckles and unis. The steering bellcranks are also worth upgrading to a ballraced alloy unit.
Just be careful when getting upgrades to make sure they will all work together as there are many makers of upgrade parts for this car. If you stick to the one brand you should be ok, just do some research before buying. 3racing and Yeah racing have thousands of parts for this car to name two aftermarket brands
