Default Hot Bodies TCFD or Tamiya VDF

Hi guys, new to drifting and want to get one of these two cars. In your opinions which one is the car to have and why? I prefer the look of the HB car more but I read there were some steering issues/limitations with the HB car, have these been fixed? Thanks, Tyler

I would go with a VDF. They have a huge parts following and aftermarket following. Check your LHS to see if they carry parts though. But, if you're just starting out, have you thought about a Sprint 2 Drift? It would save you some money to begin with and they are a very capable drifter. Alot of the local guys here are running Sprint 2 Drifts and are competing with the few that are running Tamiya kits. All three are capable of taking it to the next level of drifting, countersteer. Hope I helped some.

Don't get a sprint 2 drift, it is the worst car to start out with if you love tinkering with things. I love HB but I would go with the Tamiya VDF because the TCFD is a fairly new chassis and i don't believe there are billions of parts out there like the vdf.

The VDF! Have two of them among several chassis, by far my favorite! This chassis handles, slides like butter, even better with CS. I run mild CS on mine (1.8) and I love it. You will be able to hop this car not only for bling but also performance, everyone makes parts for this chassis.

I am looking at both of these cars as well, and my question is,

What motor/speed controller/servo is recommended? I have an HPI Sprint 2 Flux, I threw some drift tires on it, but I think I would like to get something a little higher end.
