help me get into drifting please
I have done a bit of research on car makes but I still dont know what to get. I know its best to buy a kit and then go from there but I dont want to get that serious. I dont want to race I just want to mess around but still have an able car. I want an rtr that can run lipo with no problems and nothinv needed to do so. The only thing I can find is the hpi sprint 2 sport mustang rtrx on tower for 269. My price limit is up to 350 for an rtr. Thanks

1) Drifting is not "racing, per se, and we all mostly just drift around wherever we can. I haven't been into the comp scene for a while, and don't know if there are even comps being run, any longer. All of us drifters do with what we can, but.....
$350 is a low budget threshold. Can't do much with that. All but one of the choices you posted require drift tires, so you will more than likely need to buy more than just an RTR. The HPI Sprint 2 is not a great drift chassis. It WILL drift, but is balanced badly for it. The TT01 also will require option parts, if longevity is a concern. The prop shaft Tamiya includes with all TT01's is plastic.
Lots of guys are going to the Madspeed cars. Those are cheap and last a while, so if you don't think drift is for you, you haven't plunked down much.
Drift is much better and more exciting, if you are into the whole thing - building and detailing. Otherwise, for many, it's just another segment of RC, and the drift devotees don't really respond to them. I'm here, basically because I'm not doing much, and was surfing around.

Friendly FYI - That video...... Don't do what you saw in that - it will destroy something on the chassis in short order. What you see in that vid is closer to gymkhana, which is exceptionally hard on drift chassis of any design. The Madspeed is NOT a gymkhana chassis, so please don't get the idea that the Madspeed will sustain that sort of abuse for long.
Personally, I believe it to be bad advertising.

Thanks for the info. Support got back to me and told me the same thing. I am just a newb, didn't know that brushless automatically has cutoff. I am learning.
