LoL, that's about how I feel about it. Especially when in the general public, which one would people stop and watch for any lenght of time? I think the nitro would have crowds while the electric doesn't surpass a wal-mart r/c in their eyes.

I think you're smoking crack as drifting is both speed and control.

Are you trying to say that not counter-steering = not drifting = no control?

So I guess if that guy in the video counter-steered and ran his car right into the wall, that would be considered drifting?

Also, if you watch the video at 200% and pay attention you can see he does couter-steer in some areas, just enough to make it right.

i say the same thing. if you got an opinion shout it out for everyone to hear. if people disagree they will tell you about it. but just remember we nitro guys know it that nitro is cooler j/k. i love electrics too i mean they do have they power to keep up with us until we go past that 50mph mark then its bye bye .
but anyway back to topic i cant get the savage video to work. i would love to see a beast like that thing drift. and i cant wait for someone to get the drift kit and make there own videos of it.

From the msrp conversion on the japanese website it calculates to be $150.00, which could be 50% of that when it gets to towerhobbies.

I'm waiting for some more stuff in the mail.
My gear boxes should be here tomorrow, I'll take a pic of the whole thing when i get that.
I'm also waiting on the rear aluminum blulkhead and turnbukles.(these won't be here for a few days) won't make you wait that long ) For now you only get body shots .

Holy ish! Is that a 3 evo (t-15 motor...)? That's the direction i want to take my rs4, all of the hotbodies aluminum parts and a drift conversion. I may just get the .18ss kit when it comes out instead of taking the evo apart. Are you planning on the drift conversion, or pass since you already got an alum. chassis? Awesome

You should get the .18ss kit since you already have the electronics and such, price is not that bad $319.99 preorder on tower, actual price should be lower.

sorry to dig up an old topic but that dude was right bout drifting. in real cars, drifting is only when the rear tires are sweeping around the turn while the front wheels are steering (done by countersteering). if all four wheels are sliding, thats just a power slide. w/ real racing, u can't get the same "drift" effect if ur powersliding cause u lose too much speed while doin it (unless ur rally racing on dirt or snow). w/ these rc cars, since the power to weight ratio is so high, it is possible to get the drift effect since u can pretty much spinout the wheels on command. while technically not a drift, its still very cool!

Just don't tell that to the rest of the people here and you'll be fine. Too many arguments about drifting specifics. Like you said... it's still cool. In scale I don't think you can get much more 'real' than what we're currently playing with.

Others have also stated the obvious, our r/c's are 4wd and counter-steering simply pulls the car out of the drift and goes in the direction the front wheels are pointed.
