I saw somewhere an ad for Radio Shack X-Mods suspensions that claimed there were drift suspension/tire kits for X-Mods...are there such kits? And would X-Mods even be able to drift?

That's just advertisement for poor products. They also make a drift kit for bit char-g cars, do you think they can drift? Although, I would like to see some vids of these kits installed, maybe someone here already has one. It would make for some cost effective fun on the kitchen floor!

I wish I had a winter solution i could use indoors right now, it's freezing and icing everything over this time of year. I might have to opt for a tamiya tlt-1 soon to give me something to play with.

I hear you, here in michigan its about 0 degrees with snow and ice. Terrible weather for an electric racer like me. I was thinking of investing in an AE mini (RC10whatever). Then i realized that i could just use my basement. Its finished (my basement) but after moving the couches and other stuff out of the way, its working good for me.

Your basement has enough room to run a 10th scale stadium truck?

XMoDs May be weak in comparison to some of the larger RC's out there but for the scale the power isn't too bad, i can tell you they're loads of fun when racing with opponents.

If for some reason you think they're weak try walking barefoot in my kitchen while my xmod is on the floor (I can take out toe-nails no prob)

My xmod isn't really all that hooked up, all i have in terms of performance is turbo fets/850mAh NMH/4WD/Stage2 Red

they're pretty cheap and loads of fun, ever seen an XMOD ballet? mop the floor and run a few xmods on it, its pretty freaking funny..

Firstly,

Welcome to the forums!

Secondly,

Sounds like fun for what little you have to invest, I may have to get one for my brother's birthday, and sort-a kind-a test it out to make sure everything works on it.

I forget what the website was, but a while back, i remember seeing this website, atomic mod or something that sold serious x-mod upgrades. They sold totally tricked out cars for like $350. Basically it was a whole nother car. I wish i remembered the site.

Ok, here is the link, be sure to check out the video page. Especially the speed runs and my favorite, the wheelie video. Yes, the x-mod has so much power that slamming it into forward from reverse causes the car to almost flip over backwards.

Hope this helps out you speed freaks

Here are two sites that have some cool xmod stuff. The first is [link=http://www.customxmodsparts.com]Custom Xmods parts[/link]. The second is [link=http://www.xmodworld.com]Xmod World[/link]. Xmods pretty much suck just straight out of the box, but like any product, it can be made soo much better with hop ups... The car at atomic mods goes 31 mph, stock xmods go 11.

Here is my answer to you heading "Just How Weak are XMods?" :[:@][:'(]

In other words, if you've ever seen WeeMan try to arm wrestle The Rock, then you'll know what I'm talking about...

(WeeMan being XMods and The Rock being"real" R/C)

Have you ever seen a Mini-Z and an Xmods vehicle sumo wrestle? think of it as this. 500LBS Japanese sumo wrestler VS. that geeky kid in science class who claims to have a platinum coated pocket-protector!!! LOL! But Xmods are fun. I want one, but I still got lots to do on my B4...
