why dont you just lose that upper deck and chassis and buy the stage D kit then put all the stuff on that? i know the stage D is just a conversion kit but it would make it look alot better.

also easy off oven cleaner works great for getting rid of the purple, i did it to my chassis and heatsink

Why get rid of the purple? I think it'll look awesome with all of it put together!

I got enough purple on my 18ss. I wanta go for a all silver/gunmetal look for my drifter. As for the Stage-D kit.. that might come later if I need it.

i am happy that you aren't getting the stage d cause it's overpriced and you don't need it at all....all you need is a stiff sus. locked rear diff and well drift tires...don't use yokes though the rpm of nitro is way to high it's like driving the car on ice

Thanks for the comments guys!!! Well I haven't put much into this car.. I basically took a lot of alloy parts off another car and am gonna use them on here. All the carbon parts I got with a car I won on ebay for really cheap. Regarding the stage-d kit.. I don't think its gonna look as good as my Nitro-D GunMetal Version. And why waist more $$$ on something I don't really need

For taking off the purple just use Easy off oven cleaner be careful tho.. theres tutorials on how to do it.

Just a heads up for stripping the anodizing off. Greased Lightning works extremely well too and it is much safer than Oven Cleaner. You can pick it up at any auto parts store and it comes in gallons for like $4. I used it on my chassis and couldn't believe how fast it worked. I let it soak for 5 minutes and it came out great.

Some new chassis shots.. its getting there. I gotta wait for a few parts. I want to upgrade the stock hinge pins with the hpi ones that come with a rear brace.

I plan on putting a OS .12 CV-R slide carb in it. I have a brand new one. I also have 2 OS 18 CV-R.. one I'm sending out to get modded. I'll see how the .12 does then go from there. I want to add rotostart to my .12 OS CV-R, which one can I use???

Thanks man, yah the blue really sets it off. bumper, cooling head, air filter elbow, antenna holder, and maybe fuel tubing will be Blue. The rest of the car is either GunMetal, Carbon, or black. There is one purple piece on it but you can't really see it. Its the one way bearing for the spur gear. About polishing, some of the parts were nice and smooth so when I took some mothers aluminum wheel polish to it, it had a chrome finish. I'll take some pics on a sunny day and see how this thing shines

nice, but are you sure you want to use a 2 speed trans for drifting??? a center diff would seem more reasonable

good point.. I'm gonna have it so the 2 speed doesn't shift. Theres a little set screw that you adjust, pretty easy to do.

Had some spare time today and added a few parts to my build. Took awhile to do the cvd's, had to notch the pin and heat shrink them so they don't fly out. Still waiting for the hinge pin set and a couple extra parts.

thanks for the comments, its pretty heavy compared to my 18ss which has some aluminum but not as much as this car. The alloy diff cases add the most weight. I'll definately get a vid once its running and got some bodies painted. My dog ate the blue bumper.....[&:]
