Default Body velcro option?

I have seen where people are using velcro to secure the body to the car. This allows the driver NOT to have body posts sticking out of the body, and provides a more scale look.

How is this done and is there a tutorial on how to do this?

Also, how stable is the body on the car? I have a TC4.

Thanks

URC

how do you eliminate the body posts, coz i really wanna kill the body post things

This is a rough idea but this is how I do it. ( I suck at explaining things ) The drawing should explain itself

Bend up some tin in a long c shape use some nuts to sandwich it to the existing body posts velcro on the tin velcro on the body and your done. no more posts sticking through the body.

This is it in a rough sketch,

Hope this helps

Will it be harder to line up the body with velcro? I know a lot of my cars are pretty close regarding the space between the tire and the wheel well and any little shift might mean tire rub. Maybe not a problem for a drift car with smaller wheels/tires? Just curious.

how about using magnets?? hehe

Its not a viable option..

Velcro doesnt hold on too good when you have even minor impacts with walls and other cars..
I have seen drifters do this mod only to go back to poles...

This mod has worked alot better on my mini and will work on all of the 1/10 electrics. I'm not sure about TC's, I've never tried it on my old car. You should use the velcro on the chassis' sides, deff not the top.

Mgnets will diffinitly be Wierd,

If they are too week they'll jus slip of,

If they are too tight they wont come of the chassis
