HBX Make Over
How to Make a Bad Shell.. Look Better
This Shell started Life as a HORRIBLE looking over Decalled HBX Skyline..
Since the Decals were embedded into the Shell..
I had to make some home Made ones by finding a Front on Photo of a Real R34 and Sizing them down onto some sticky Backed plain paper and to water proof them covered them in Sticky clear book covering, so the results are not Perfect but look OK
The Window area was Cleared of all previous Paint with a Green Scouring cloth and Washing up detergent
(they are slightly Scratched but not noticable in the photo)
Then the Windows and Bonnet were masked up on the OUTSIDE.
This allowed me to apply a New coat of Paint to the OUTSIDE of the shell and covering up all traces of what was left of the Old paint job..
Once all the Painting was done, a Coat of Clear was added to protect the Paint..
and there is the End Result, It has been mounted onto my Sprint 2 as my New Drift basher Shell..
I think you will agree, it looks Tonnes better..

Yeah the HBX Shells are Pretty cool but the Decals are terrible...
Sure they are Eye catching but are an Eye sore.
You cant do any worse really..
With a Black Over Coat, Some Home made Decals and a drift wing, even the HBX Lancer can be improved !
This one Sits over my TT-01
