Cheap cars any good?
I'm interested in these cars and want to know what you guys think about them. I think they seem ok but that's just me.

What brand is it? Not knowing the brand or make you do not know where to get replacement bits when something breaks.
Where to get replacement bits? Or Hop-ups?
To me there is no problem buying the cheaper cars long as I can get replacement parts & hop-ups for week parts etc...

RE: Cheap cars any good?
Personally I think it would work the only problem is you get what you pay for, hop ups for it may never be found. The car runs on Nickel cadmium batteries not nickel metalhydrate. I found from experience that Nicd is less run time than NiMH. Its shaft drivin which is a plus but the electronics may need to be upgraded not brushless necessarily but something with a little more torque rather than what the car has. The video it looks quick but thats not always the case because theres things they dont tell you. If they told you the bad things then that would kill its marketing. I mean you could get it and check it out for us and write a review you could be on to something but we'll never know if you dont try. Thats my opinion on it take it or leave it.

RE: Cheap cars any good?
I dont think U can get A HPI dash anymore.. :S This is old!! like 3-4 years old stuff?? .. If U want cheap HPI .. take HPI E 10 .. when its coming out all around the world.. for now its only in Australia and some Asian countrys.
Tamiya's cars are pretty good also.
How to buy RC in 6 easy steps for dummies:
1. Take a look at Ur budget.
a. U have enough money to buy a good model.
b. U dont have enough money to get a good model.
c. U dont have money at all.
2. If the answer to fierst point was "a". Then search from web stores a models U like and write down a little review about what U like about it and what U dont.
If the answer was "b". Make the same, but look at cheaper cars
If the answer was "c". Wait till U have enough money.
3. Open up internet and search from forums on each car U choosed.
4. Look up some videos for those cars in competiton or bashing and see whats best, or U like the most.
5. By that moment U might still have left 2-3 models. Now make a little reseach for replacment parst and hop-ups whats possible for U model.
6. Ignore all the text ahead and buy a model U like the most.
Have Fun!

RE: Cheap cars any good?
Dash is RWD.. No good for Drifting...
Look for a HBX Post 5 TL-01 on E-bay.. They are the Cheapest cars you can get for RC drift this side of a Tyco Drift King (Which are Toys and worthless)
(They have Skyline and Lancer Bodies)
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-1-10-Electri...QQcmdZViewItem
The E10 is good as a Cheap Entry level car and I advise you get the Drift Spec model as it is a Pain in the Bum to convert the touring to drift...
