Default battery Connectors

Hi, I've only recently gotten my first RC model and finished building it, but I got some advice from a random person who told me to get all these modifications and one of them is getting another type of battery connectors. Is this actually an important aspect or is it not that big of a deal?

Default RE: battery Connectors

its called a Deans connector -
they say its more efficient, runs cooler etc, I changed all my connectors to them.
its not high on the priority list.

Thats pretty much what I figured, but thx so much for helping me verify that. Never hurts to hear a second opinion.
