RC Drifting in NY with Point1Drift

This past Saturday on August 25, 2007, Point1Drift held their first ever rc drift demo at Oswego, NY at Oswego Speedway. In conjunction with HPI Racing and Right Coast Tuners, Point1Drift officially introduced RC Drifting to Central NY. With cars from Ontario Canada, New York and even New Jersey, Point1Drift's demo was a resounding success. Many people were attracted to the Toyota Supra we had on display next to our booth. The car is owned by our friend Brian who passed away several years ago. Situated to the right of the entrance tunnel and along the track where cars were parked and people would walk through to view the cars, Point1Drift was poised for good exposure.

Many people stopped by picking up the Point1Drift FAQ on RC Drifting, HPI Catalogs and stickers, asked questions about rc drifting and were even allowed to run our personal cars! We even had people asking if they could buy rc drift cars on the spot and even our personal equipment. I'd say we were easily the busiest booth at the show. Cars traveled past our booth in order to park along the wall of the speedway and to get to the 1/8 Mile Speed Trap. Cost to run the Speed Trap was $1 per run with ALL proceeds going to an Iraqi boy who was being transported to the US for medical treatment. The fastest 1/8 Mile run was pegged at 78 MPH.
