Default New to the drifting scene

new to rc sedans all together actually, was thinking of trying my hand at drifting.
thinking Hpi sprint 2 flux, hpi drift tires, and going from there?
any advice? should i start with another chassis?
going to see some unclean surfaces, but I figure if I keep up on it and maybe dremil the rear diff it should be alright?

edit: and a 1 way front diff and lock or change the rear diff, will it be plausible to raise the rear gearing without raising the front gearing? kinda counter-steering style?
