When you use those booths, you aren't supposed to have any shadows. The ambient lighting is supposed to provide full soft lighting in the booth with no shadows. This is by design so you can easily photoshop stuff. Are you using a flash? I would put the camera on a tripod to stabilize it and not use a flash so there are no shadows in the pictures.

Few more shots of the continuing build, as well as messing with camera settings and flash/no flash.

As you can see in the second picture I damaged the ball holder (upper left of the part). Unfortunately the kit didn't come with any spares on the tree, but it seems strong enough for now and I'll throw some JB Weld in there.

Spur gear and slipper in place. I'm going to do some stuff out of order now since I don't have a steering servo yet.

$650 for the one I got, the 2010 Spec, $340 for the R spec one which is less fancy but still not bad.

Front and rear CVDs. Very high quality, both in materials and build. Impressive to see boots as stock on a 1/10 scale. The quality of these parts reminds me of those on my 1/5 scale FG 4x4, which is saying something. The smoothness of the drivetrain is one of the things that separates high end RCs from the generic stock stuff IMO. Photographs still aren't up to gribble standards but I'm happy

^hahaha thunderbirdjunkie, I was noticing the hair too.
Gotta be careful with these crazy clear pictures! I can see white lint from the drop clothe on some parts too. But wow...these are good pictures. What kind of camera do you have? can't be a standard digital one.....can it?
it all looks soo good.....

Yeah it's great even just for point and shoot stuff, plus it takes HD video which is great for RC. If you don't want to invest in an SLR I'd recommend this one hands down.
