Traxxes E-max model #3903 better then T max 3.3 nitro?
Hey fellaz,
Im a nitro fan but I am really considering getting a e-max off of ebay new instead of the tmax 3.3 nitro and I had a few questions and concerns before I order it. My first question is I have heard alot of tuning issues with the 3.3 t max and would like to stay away from the nitro if the engine sucks. What will give me less headache long term and what kind of run time will I get off the batteries that come with this model shown on ebay here http://cgi.ebay.com/Traxxas-E-Maxx-R...item2eb16c9ef3The reason I have always went nitro was I hate downtime on having to charge up batteries. If this thing gives me a solid 25-30 minutes that would be awsome if only like 14-17 minutes and slow recharge time that would just irritate the hell out of me Im sure. Any feedback from owners of both the t max 3.3 and the emax I have shown in this link would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

I think at least 20 mins. I run one of them in my slash for 15 min. Double should be 20-over. And, buy a good charder. My traxxas wall charger is slow, 3 hour per battery. I reccomend this charger- http://cgi.ebay.com/DURATRAX-ONYX-20...#ht_713wt_1139 with this adapter-http://cgi.ebay.com/Traxxas-Style-Fe...#ht_525wt_1139 Hope this helps and have fun!

The e-maxx is set up so that 2 8.4v batteries equal 16.8 volts of total output, your runtimes will remain the same as with 1 battery. If you go the e-maxx way definetly get more batteries and a charger that can do more then 1 battery at a time. Also do not be afraid of tunning a traxxas motor, i've owned several of their nitros over the years and do not feel that they are a pain in the butt to tune. Either way you'll have have fun.

Get big lipos and a fast peak charger ( I charge most of my batteries in under an hour).
I used to run nitro's with good os engines and I had alot of headaches there finiky , with electric I just turn it on and it runs.
And if you get a brushless motor you can be faster than a 3.3.
