Well you guys have convinced me NOT to go nimh. I really wanna go LiFe though. I know what batts I want, it's just I need a LiFe battery charger for under $35, and it HAS to be an AC charger. If somebody can find one for me, Id be eternily grateful . I've looked everywhere but can't find that charger.

YEah those guys are right plus LiFe are way over priced and still won't give you the full potential of your equipment. IF you go LiFe now I will give you a year before you decide to switch over to lipo just save your self the money and buy more lipos

One of the main reasons ( other than the one's iv mentioned) that iv stayed away from lipo is because all I do is backyard bash, no raving at all. Will the lipos be able to take a mild bashing?

Uh, yeah.

Why wouldn't they be able to take bashing?

Just don't puncture, overcharge, or overdischarge them and you'll never have any issues.

pretty much applies to all batteries though.

dont puncture, over dis/chagre

my lipo goes through more abuse than my nimh not because i want to bash harder but because i can bash harder.

eg nimh = average bash

lipo = hardcore bash

Just get the lipos. i can give you some links for the stuff I bought to get you started. My charger gets here today. Now my Losi Desert Truck will be able to pull the front wheels off the ground. I was running nimh and it wouldn't do that. Just go for Lipo's for the win.

i have all soft pack lipos, and bash the crap out of my brushless trucks/buggies.
if bashing really concerns you, you can pick up a hardcased lipo pack. its alittle extra insurance, but in my experience isnt needed.
