traxxas velineon in a sc10
has anyone had experience with a traxxas velineon brushless motor in an associated sc10? good, bad, or just ok. it's an rtr model so i'm using the stock sc-450-bl speed control. it seems to have good power.

It's a Traxxas motor, it won't work on Associated's products.... hehehe. It should work great. Had good success with the Velineon motor in the 4x4 Slash.

The ESC is not that great, but a lot of local racers are running that motor with great success.
If you upgrade to something like a Mamba Max or even a 60a Hobbywing you will be blown away at how versatile the Velineon motor is.
Do you already have the motor/ESC? If not, you should look into the Castle Sidewinder SCT system.

VXL is a great lil system i know the early versions had problems on the esc with the wires being soldered to the pcb board which break off in the end,but traxxas has fixed that now on the later versions of the esc,the mamba esc is good as you can tune the motor alot more.
