ha, may be so but i'm pretty sure if he's looking at a Stampede XL-5 ($170), a Savage Flux ($400), is a little out of his price range

You only said nothing will run top-end in grass.
I never said nothing about buying one

E-savage probably would do better in grass than a pede also
But at that price a slash 4X4 would be a better buy

BTW Cheapest flux is $500

if you wanna get technical even the Flux, the beast it is, will not reach its full potential in grass. the E-Savage is not waterproof which is something he said he liked about Traxxas, so no go there i guess.

True it will knock like a whole .2mph or so off its top speed

I said I'd have to recommend a slash 4X4 at that point over it though for its price.
If it was cheaper you could get around the waterproof part I've seen a few ppl that used to post here that owned the e-savage and waterproofed it for a few bucks
But now at its price point(and how it seems to be getting phased out) its kinda not worth it.

But yes if the op likes his bandit the pede will do the job, and is in his price range.

yeah, the pede looks really fun for the price! i bet it is too, cause i have a rustler xl-5 with some old stampede tires (b4 talons) and its awesome!

Water proofing is really easy, and there are tons of vids on the internet about waterproofing. Sooner or later you will have to work on your RCs

yeah, but risking ruining 150 electronics isn't worth it, and he's the one who said he wanted traxxas

yeah its a great company. their product support is awesome! alo of people will say that traxxas cars are crap, but thats just because traxxas makes bashing cars, not competition cars. don't listen to 'em!

yeah, that's where the fun is at. although you said you liked Traxxas, i've heard good things about HPI's Wheely King. its a 4wd monster truck, you'd just have to do your own waterproofing

oh....this is off topic but in the repair guide thing the bandit came with it says the wing is not attached to a screw but just put into two holes. do i just pull them out? sorry just asking if you don't know its fine :P im not really that good at it yet....started about a month ago after giving up my nitro because the $200 engine burned out in 2 days.

ya traxxass is good for the most part, just stay away from there cheap stuff. What do you meen your nitro just burnt out did it lock up? Did you break it in? No offence but it was probably your fault if the motor burnt out in 2 days. Most decent rc manfactures will replace your motor for free if it really was just a dud.

yeah, cheap stuff is generally not what you want, but there are exceptions. Target has started selling a Tamiya DF-02 knock-off for $100 or less. Knock-offs are sometimes a great buy, and from what i've heard this one is actually really good for the price. Would you be interested in this electricrc68?

there is no XL-5 nitro engine
unless it was that joke on ebay that sold for like $700 awhile back a guy hammered a titan 550 into a traxxas 2.5's glow plug hole and started a xl-5 on fire and took pics of for ebay

I think Syco is referring to the NITRO engine that electricrc burned out in 2 days as im lil curious to know to.

Electricrc68-Traxxas has exploded views on their website-there easy to find to.

http://www.traxxas.com/pdfs/2405_exp...ws_chassis.pdf

The wing looks like it might just pull out of the shock tower w/ the metal attached-but idk whats going on with end of the wing mount ends as i've never owned a bandit. The wing is mounted w/ set screws to the metal rods (prob 1.5mm allen).

Miraculously I found the screen shots I took of the auction before ebay deleted it (not the thread we made laughing at it though )
Shows how often I clear off my comps desktop
I know people were probably thinking what in the hell is he talking about
