yeah that rock would knock a stampede out like that. in case you didn't know that truck is around the size of a savage. heck that rock would knock my dads baja 5b out of whack.

you guys are crazy that thing is awesome.
btw, if we want to talk scale that ''little rock'' is about the size of a car compared to a monster truck, so yeah of course it almost flips it. [img][/img]

hint: it would have not upset the truck nearly as much

Hehe.
I just figured when I saw a vid of a RC MT nearly flip when it hit a big rock, I thought "realism!", in that a real MT would nearly flip if it hit a massive boulder at high speed. Nothing more than that, really.

how do you think a Revo or Savage would have handled that rock....
hint: it would have not upset the truck nearly as much

sloppyg doesn't comprehend very well.
if a real mt hit a car at speed it would flip or almost flip just like the truck in the vid.
sure a savage can absorb that, it's got ifs and irs. thats not what the debate is about.
if that truck in the video doesn't do it for you thats fine, but thats how monster trucks handle.
sure i could say my race buggy could corner faster or my rc10t would just glide over that rock, but again thats not the point.
sheesh!
bottom line true monster trucks have solid axles and thats how they handle.

RE: Traxxas stampede monster jam edition
it all depends on how you hit the rock, with my dads revo 3.3 if you hit a rock on the throttle it will absorb the rock, if you hit it off the throttle it will get out of shape like that (which is what it looked like in the video) in all honesty you can make a solid axle truck perform very well off road. it all depends on the suspension set up.

RE: Traxxas stampede monster jam edition
it's a toy, so why make it perform worse in an attempt to be "scale"
if you have to pick between a RC that performs better and looks less "scale", and a RC that performs worse but looks more "scale".... then I guess that's the difference between a tamiya customer and a person who chooses a different brand RC

That Mad Force truck flipping itself back over just sold me on it! No more running to flip your truck back over 50 feet away from you lol. Although I'm sure its not to great on the drivetrain.

RE: Traxxas stampede monster jam edition
The most disappointing thing about these monster jam pedes is that the grinder uses a generic traxxas style body whereas the full size one uses a 04-08 f-150 body. Traxxas currently has licensing deals with ford for the fiesta and mustang. Why couldn't they do a f-150?
Also didn't notice until now on the top of the page in fine print."Coming Soon: Monster Mutt™ and Maximum Destruction™"
Wow, I don't know anyone who doesn't love monster mutt....

RE: Traxxas stampede monster jam edition
we aren't talking about tamiya dude. the mad force is made by kyosho. and again solid axle monster trucks can perform pretty good. the point is traxxas claims that the truck is a scale monster truck which it is nowhere near
