Losi JRXT
Seems the stadium truck I recently got was originally a JRXT, anyone know how old those trucks are? It looks like it's been converted to a LXT or XXT with different front and rear ends (shock towers, suspension, body mounts) and even a XXT body. The chassis is still the JRXT but graphite and is far lighter than the XXT my father has. This truck drives surprisingly nice and really launches over jumps better than the XXT does.
I didn't have any electronics left so I slapped in the Traxxas rx and esc to drive it for now.
In the picture is the XXT on the left and JRXT on the right, the onroad tires really suck too.

I found out the JRXT was from 1991! That truck still drives as well as today's stadium trucks do, infact it's lighter than the XXT and really floats over jumps.

RE: Losi JRXT
And I thought I was the only one in the free world driving one.
I bought mine new in 1990, was stationed in Germany at the time and had it shipped over. It's still with me and after a loooong hibernation is running again with a Feigao brushless motor. I still love my JrXT...and yes it does drive exceptionally well.
A dead give away for an original JrXT is the 5 link rear suspension. If you don't have that..you don't have an original JrXT. They developed the JrT very shortly after the XT which had a more conventional H-arm rear suspension I believe. Then came the the polymer chassis, replacing the graphite.
Because of light weight of the truck, you can only put so much power in it. Otherwise the rear end just breaks loose if you are heavy on the throttle. I picked up a spare on E-bay for parts, so now I basically have 2 of everything. I rebuilt the e-bay model's tranny and it works like new. I haven't cracked open my tranny since I built it 15 years ago ! I ran a trinity 9 turn motor on it way back then. The tranny is still very smooth and goes like stink. Even the original slider drive shafts don't seem to complain about the brushless power upgrade.
It's fun to have younger off road drivers look at my old JrXT. They see the 5 link rear end and scratch their heads. I then ask them..."what were you doing in 1990?" Most say..I was in kindergarten...lol . No offense to the young guys out there. They're a wealth of knowledge in the "new age" of r/c offroading.
I e-mailed Team Losi about direct replacement parts for the venerable JrXT. They said nothing will interchange.
I did discover though, if you need shock cartridges and O-rings, the newest shock cartridges that Losi offers will screw right into the old JrXT shock bodies. I got a set from Horizon Hobby. I'm sure other smaller suspension parts and what not might fit. I don't think they changed specs on some things.. Oh and I am almost certain bearings and wheels can be changed out with new XXXT parts. But chassis, suspension arms and tranny's won't swap.
