Default New motor/ESC combo for Bandit

Looking for a replacement for the XL5 traxxas system the motor is a titan T12.
This will not be for my car, but my friends. Hes already on his third motor, they burn up pretty quickly.
So we both think brushless is the way to go. The Traxxas Velenion System is too expensive at around $160.00
Wondering if this will work, he is on a kinda tight budget. Only $60.00

The reviews look great.
We are both total noobs when it comes to cars,Ihave been messing with helis the past two years so Ido have a little knowlege
about electronicsand batteries. Flying gets my nerves so tence my knees shake, but I love the addrenline. I have a Trex 450 pro, and Ihave to say helis stay so much cleaner. Ilove the addiction. The car lets me chilland its Soooo much Fun.

Oh yeah my car is a RC10B4.1 Brushless LOVE IT

Thanks

Nick

I say, wait for more money and then buy 1 really good one. You will say the quality of the motor is worse compared to one from a big name brand, like Novak or something if you get it. I'd try the motor that came in the B4.1 Brushless. It has SO much power on the track-http://www.teamassociated.com/xpdigi...s/details/937/Good luck and happy huntings!

I would pass on that motor. If you want one of the cheap systems the EZrun 4000KV setup with the 60a ESC is a great fit. I've had one for a while in a Pede and not had any problems. I have appox 75 packs thru it so far.

If you can do $100-$120 There are used VXL systems on here and traxxas.com all the time and you would be better off with one of those.

tell him to wait for this ESC to come back in stock: http://www.hobbypartz.com/ezrun-60a-...-1-10-car.html

and then get this motor: http://www.hobbypartz.com/96m26-car-3650-2950.html

that's a way better combo than that $60 garbage and it's only $7 more. i'd also get the programming card for the esc. that's only another $7.

so for $14 more, he's getting a WAY better esc with decent programmability and a much better motor. if he wanted more, he could get the 3200 or 3500kv motor, but IMO it's overkill in a buggy.
