if i were going for highest top speed..which bl system under 300
well i took my duratrax evader st apart a while back and got out of rc but i recently bought a mini erevo and got back in. i want to use my duratrax chassis as a speed demon setup. im going to be using the brushless emaxx tranny to power it as the older chassis wont be able to stand the power of a large brushless system. is there a better system than the mamba max pro w/ 2200kv motor for under 300?? my goal is 100mph

With high speed tires and 6S or less I doubt the 2200 will go 100 (even on paper) How about the 9000 kv castle?

iv gota speed t by losi (ugh).
mmp on 9000kv. thinkn bout ditchn da 9000 on 2s n optn 4 4pole 6900 on 3s. should squeez out about 10mph +.
plus lowr kv meens longr run time

9000kv on what? they won't handle more than 2s for very long.

It's pretty easy to plug numbers into this calc and use whatever gets you the desired speed. http://www.scriptasylum.com/rc_speed/top_speed.html
Maybe the op wasn't going to use a diff. Maybe the e-maxx tranny bolts in sideways? If that's the case then 9000 kv might be way too high and 2200 might be ok. First one has to set some preferences such as tire diameter, layout, voltage and such.

well after looking at the ratios and such, i think i am going to use the rustler tranny and then get some hpi phtlines which are 4' diameter. if i go the 2200 route i plan on running 6s so 22.2 volts and im not sure what you mean on the layout.

By layout I just meant whether or not you're going to use a diff or such. Eliminating the diff would essentially gear it up 2-3X. It sounds like you'll use the rustler trans/diff and 4" tires with about 40-50,000 rpm unloaded. What speed on paper does the calc say about that?

sorry idk where i got 4'' from they are actually 5.5'' (tires). with the rustler trany mounted where the original tranny was with no diff.,5.5'' tires, 2200kv motor, 6s, and a 36T spur and 24T pinion it says it should be going 195 at 48,850 motor rpms... yeah that doesnt seem right. and for the keepong it under control thing. i have an idea on how to keep it on the ground i got that covered.

Mmm and a 2650kv motor and a 6s lipo will get you there easy. Belted tires are also recommended .
