Default New Wheely King question about LiPo

I just purchased a new Wheely King with the stock electronics. My question is will it run ok/safely with a 7.4V 2c LiPo battery pack? Using this ancient technology NiCD that came with it is painful.....

Thanks for any advice.

The truck won't know the difference. except it will be lighter or run longer time.

I use an alarm. Never had a problem with it before- even use LiPO's in my tanks. Glad to hear I can toss the heavy crappy NiCD's and NiMH's.

I usually save them for when my nephews come over, and throw in the loaner RC so the can't go nuts

The stock ESC will get hot in a hurry with a lipo. The crappy ni-cad that came with it doesn't put out a lot of amps, and less amps flowing through the ESC is less heat. Just watch the temps and get a LVC as mentioned.

Heh, heh, heh....

I've got a Titan 12T and XL-5 coming to "tweak" my WK. I'll put the stock stuff in something else.... Faster, stronger, and waterproof too!

....at least not until I put in steel gears!

No, I think that a 2C LIPo with that Titan will give me plenty of pep to keep me occupied.

um, WHAT?

Amps are pulled, NOT pushed.

The battery only supplies what's asked of it. No matter what, a 6000mah 1000000c battery will only supply 35a if that's all that's asked of it.
