Kyosho inferno Brushless converion ( 3500KV Velineon )
i hated nitro sine i got it , the tuning ,the fuel cost and he mess & loud noise it creates ,so after struging with my 1/8 kyosho inferno for some months i moved to 1/5 gaser and got a baja 5b ,
since then inferno its laying around in the corner of the room and catching Dust its been almost 1.5 years, yesterday 1 of my friend gave me a suggestion to conert in to electric as he is a electric fan , so i decided to do that .he has a 3500kv Velineon mama max laying around so he deided to gave it to me ,offcource not for free but quite cheap .
so my Qis , is 3500kv Velineon appropriate for the 1/8 kyosho inferno ?

No. Most 1.8th scales are larger and by association heavier. That motor wwas designed with lighter 1/10th scales in mind, not a 1/8th scale.

I would go with any Novak 1.8th scale designed motors. I think they just released a new line of Ballistic motors for the 1.8th electrics. Castle Creation Mamba Monster systems are ALWAYS a great option. Never heard of anyone not liking and MM system . There is also the Tekin RC8 systems as well as the Losi Xcelorin systems, but both are a tad overpriced for what you actually recieve.

If it's a buggy though, i've had awesome results with the Mamba Max 2650kv on 4S li-po. Right around the 50+mph range in an Ofna Ultra MBX Comp, (which is very similiar in weight and stance to a Kyosho Inferno) and still mountains of torque for bashing.

Funny my advice was to keep it in between 1800 to 2000 kV when i am running 2650 kV-motor in my Ass RC8B myself But i guess it was meant as an friendly advice, with lower kV there is a lot of room to play with different gearing and higher voltage rating to get a smoother car to drive. I am running a Mamba Max ESC by the way.

I've never used nor heard of people using, these HK systems. I buy li-pobatteries from them, and that's about it. Imo, I would rather spend the extra dough on something that I know will not blow up in my face when I hit the throttle. I can't say for sure though. Talk around to someone who has used them. My vote will always go to the name brand systems like Castle, Tekin, Xcelorin (by Losi), Novak, and LRP (Assossciated). Best ones out there. Even if they are expensive, you'll never regret buying one.
