Default Crazy ratio calculations!

I have a basic TL01. Endoplasma engine (16t double). 19T Pinion. Speed gears. Ball bearings, ESC - Mild-modified (16T is the lowest i can go with engine on ESC)
I made some calculations below. 29 mph seems wimpy to me.
How will I ever compete with my 2wd on road or even stock nitro?
Is there anything else I can do? my last mod is to add the 23T pinion tonight. should add 5mph... based on calculations
I do not drive technical tracks. It basically me and a few friends ripping it up in large parking lots (mainly oval) which is why i need top speed. Accelaration is not that important to me
Is this my top speed? or I can continue tweaking the gears?

GEARING
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stock: 7.96:1
Speed Gear : 5.95:1
23T + Gear : 4.92:1

Drop a total of 3 points!

SPEED CALCULATIONS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE 17,6 MPH (28,1 Km/h) CALCULATION:
Motor revs are depending on load, and we have absolutely no way of telling the revs while driving. If the motor revs 18000 at idle, it will go slower when load is applied.

18494 (motor-rpm) / 7,96 (std gearing) = 2323.4 (wheel-rpm). The wheel spins 2261,3 rounds per minute.
Pi (3,14) x d (wheel diametre, 65mm) = 204 mm = 20,4 cm. The wheel travels 20,4 cm per revolution.
2323.4 (wheel-rpm) x 20,4 cm = 47396.6 (cm per minute) = 0,473966 (Km per min)
0,473966 (Km/min) x 60 (min per hour) = 28,44 Km/h (17,8Mph). THEORETICAL speed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THE 23,6 (37,7 Km/h) MPH CALCULATION:
By upgraded tranny I take it you mean the 53342 TL01 speed-tuned gear set. I had no idea what gear-change it resulted in but thanks for telling me. Here we go:

18494 (motor-rpm) / 5,96 (new gearing) = 3103 (wheel-rpm).
Pi (3,14) x d (65mm) = 204 mm = 20,4 cm. The wheel still travels 20,4 cm per revolution.
3103 x 20,4 cm = 63301.6(cm/min) = 0, 633016 (Km/min)
0, 633016 (Km/min) x 60 (min/hour) = 37.98 Km/h (23,7Mph). Again THEORETICAL speed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

18494 (motor-rpm) / 4.92(new crazy gearing) = 3758.9 (wheel-rpm).
Pi (3,14) x d (65mm) = 204 mm = 20,4 cm. The wheel still travels 20,4 cm per revolution.
3758.9 x 20,4 cm = 76681.6(cm/min) = 0,766816(Km/min)
0, 766816 (Km/min) x 60 (min/hour) = 46 Km/h (28.7 Mph). Max SPEED withount droping weight!

Default Crazy ratio calculations!

That motor rpm seems extremely low to me. Think about it a stock e 4-tec is supposed to go 40 with a 20 turn motor and a mechanical esc your should be able to go atleast 40 with your 2wd.

Or are u running just 4 cells?

Default Crazy ratio calculations!

I had that same motor in my HPI PRO2 that I just sold. I had a 72T spur with a 30T Pinion and that thing would fly. It would run about as fast as my buddies T-Maxx

Default Crazy ratio calculations!

I put the 23T Pinion on the 4wd tl01 and it made a huge difference!
Was going almost as fast as my 2wd.
the 2wd is a 13 year old lemans MAzda 787B Tamiya. i don't konw the body type but It has the RS540 Sport tuned and 18TPinion with 72Tgear. paid a hefty price for it back in the day!
It old and discontinued but it flies!

The tl01 doesn't even have an engine hole for 30Tpinion? how would i set that up? 19-21-23 arer the holes available.
either way the thing is starting to be so fast i can't even control it.
the smallest squeeze of the trigger and i'm spinning out!
I'm running 6cell 1500 mah. i can buy4 for the price of one 3300mah. not a tough choice :0

and the engine rpm i got from the kyosho website.
but are they running the thing full power?
...what does 3675Kv mean?
