They look good with the nice new tires.

Now you just need some SEES aluminum wheels.
There used to be a set of tehcnacraft or LOHAS wheels on eBay, but I couldn't justify paying the price. They're gone now. I like the jellybeans anyways - a unique design found only on these cars

Those are some awesome looking RC10's.
Thank you! In December, I'll be building two Sanyo vintage 6 cell packs for them, and get clear heat shrink sleeves for them. After that - video time!

ThunderbirdJunkie never really understood how the 6 gear trans worked. Is the diff on the topshaft?
The spur gear is the diff. It works like a pan car diff. Each side of the transmission is independent of the other.
That makes a lot more sense than "why does that slipper have diff balls in it?"[&:] So the topshaft had an inner and outer portion, kind of like a coaxial helicopter's mainshaft?

Yeah, kind of like a coax heli, but the ones I've seen run two motors w/ two main gears.

There's the diff ring hub, which seats into the bearing adapter. It's beveled to firmly seat into the inside diff pinion gear, which is where I think it acts as a second slipper. two thrust washers and a thrust bearing make the diff action against the top shaft gear. It makes more sense when the spur gear, balls, rings and outer hub is attached. The spring on the outer hub put the pressure on and creates the diff action.

Then the top shaft gear and diff pinion move the left and right side idler gears and outdrive gears.

I'm just waiting for the mailman to drop off the battery stuff, and this build is pretty much wrapped up.
