Default Whats your Castle Creations Repair wait times???

I sent 2 ESCs into Castle for repairs,a MMM and a SV2 .That was over 4.5 weeks ago ,I sent them an email and got a confirmation response a week later. Got a email today saying sorry for the delay waiting on stock should have at least 1 out of 2 controllers in a COUPLE weeks!!!! Is this the norm for Castle or what?

Why don't you call them and find out why it is taking so long?

I haven't returned any to Castle but I did have the Flux esc in my Savage go out and sent it back to HPI and the turn around time was just over a week.

A friend of ThunderbirdJunkie's sent his Sidewinder SCT in for repair after it caught fire and it took 3 months.

The Sidewinder turnarounds take forever because they're always total losses and unfixable.

Did you buy it at your LHS? If they're worth their salt they'll swap the ESC for you and deal with Castle themselves. They're not responsible in any way, and it's Castle's responsibility, but a good LHS wouldn't have any problem doing it for you.

You could just buy a good ESC, or call Castle and have them upgrade you to the MMP for $75.

I sent a Mamba Micro pro in to them for warranty work and it took about 6 weeks to get it back. I did call them about a month into the wait and asked them what was going on and they told me they were having to wait for stock.

I sent in a high voltage for/ repair/warranty/ and recall. Its been there over a month. I called the company and finally got a receipt for receiving it. At that time the service time was three weeks, nothing yet and its five weeks. I checked on line to see if any of the Super Centers ( Tower) had any in stock, and they show back order until mid December. Maybe I will go back to gas?? So if I had a complaint it would be lack of communication, even a notice on their Home page, keeping cutomers informed.

ThunderbirdJunkie hopes he's wrong, but that motor's been out of production for like 9 months now, and when Castle discontinues something, they blow it out at crazy prices and get rid of it.

Saw the same thing happen about the same time you bought yours on a Castle 1512/MMM combo. Castle was VERY fast about taking care of the problem, only it was immediately on install, not after runtime.

Hey guys, UPS is drop n off my new Mamba Monster ESC's, today....Yes, 2 of them..One got wet, the other just died in the middle of the trx. Sent them both in 2 month ago...
for the flat rate exchange. Wow!!.... didn't think it would take this long....But I understand what has been going on with the big recall , they have going on there.. I called them after a month went by. They were really nice and apaleichized for the delay. Another 3 weeks went by and i called again...Glad i did , they gave me a discount for having to wait so long ..that was super cool of them.....Cann't wait for them to show up today...My Losi's miss them....hehehehehe!!
