Hello!!!! I would use part # ECX1076 but you will also need Part # ECX1024, you can order them from Horizonhobby.com or ECXRC.com

Glad to hear you are enjoying the truck . I own a boost two circuts and a ruckus. I was planning on purchasing one of these but after looking at your pics I may just throw some proline trenchers on my ruckus and lower the body. I have had a blast with my ecx trucks. My ruckus and one of my circuts both run traxxas vxl 3s systems. I upgraded the gears to steel in both and use traxxas Serbia and transmitters on both.

The ruckus was my first rc and has taken quite a beating. Pretty easy to work on and well thought out in my opinion.

I will repeat ''ESC supports lipo batteries?''
Sorry, no it doesn't. You could add an alarm or external cutoff though.

Spare parts normally only fit the car they're originally intended for. Sometimes it happens that other parts will fit, but that's not normal.

I would assume that it is going to be like the other models. The circut , boisterous and ruckus all work with some traxxas parts. My circut is basically a Rustler now lol.

DTX/Castle Element is an excellent combo, but I suggest you get the metal gears.

Just purchased one of these for my father in law for Christmas. I'm pretty confident that after reading all of the good stuff from sunfire foot about it I made the right choice. I will also follow up with a review once he gets it and we can go play

First thing I thought when I saw it was a Slash and a Strike having a baby. To learn Losi have something to do with it was not surprising. I guess they had to do something with all those left over strikes eh?

Still, looks like a good truck. Plenty of good reviews anyway.

First post:
I bought a Ecx Torment on Monday. This is my first rc anything, other than toys as a child. I knew almost nothing when I went in to purchase it. I had read a little here and there about different this and that, but after talking with the hobby store owner / worker and reading this, I feel like I made a wise choice. I'm glad I went somewhere instead of orderring it of the web. I was set on spending a lot more, just because of my lack of knowledge. I also purchased a 5000 MAH NiMH battery and seperate ac or dc charger to go along with it. Over the hour and a half I have got to use it, it has taken quite a bit of abuse. The first trip out was at night in the road, where I might have smacked a curb or two.I also rolled it over a couple times. This afternoon I was able to get out in the dirt and play hard. Man its fun! But I rolled it hard a couple times and broke a (not real sure) steering spindle. It is the piece that connects the tie rod to the wheel bearing. Anyway I am off to look for a replacement tomorrow. Does anybody know if it is compatible with another more popular model?

I can't believe how much fun I've had with it already. I should have bought one years ago.

Those steering blocks are about the only parts ThunderbirdJunkie sees broken on Electrix cars...they call 'em the Rubber Truck for a reason[&:]

I think that this spring I will get the Torment. I was gonna get a slash....but would like to give something new a try.

and the lower price is nice. But from the vids I have seen it seems a good deal slower than a stock 2wd slash. But im pretty sure its just the 20t motor, and that if i put a motor equal to the titan 12t (but not a titan 12t, cause they burn up after 2 packs...lol) then it will be just as fast.

I also like that they have the rear bumper with mud flaps. Traxxas missed the mud flaps! and they way you can get this is by dropping some decent $$$ on the rpm bumper and mud flaps. IMO, and SCT should have mud flaps stock, just looks cooler.

I may just buy the truck, and sell the stock ESC/motor and drop in a xl-5 and 15t motor. The spektrum radio it comes with looks very nice for a RTR truck!

Yep the torment is all in all a good SCT, I have convinced every rc enthusiast I know to get one, but that's only 5 people LOL!!! I stand by it through and through and much like every RC it does have its weak points, like the steering blocks, but the parts support and cost are superb IMHO. If you do end up getting one, post your thoughts on it since it seems like no one else has really.

I, myself, plan on getting one this spring as well. I am sure like most of my other rc's.. I will mod it with a BL motor.esc, etc.
All reviews I have seen, have been positive. Did you see Jang's video on it where he ran it on a track and bashed a bit and was pleased with it?

Just bought a Torment the other day, and so far it's a BLAST! It's my first "real" RC car, so i'm trying to learn all I can.  I am kinda disappointed that I didn't pay more attention to the truck not being waterproof...Is there an "easy" way for an inexperienced person to waterproof this truck so that I can use it in the snow/rain?

Yes there is, start by wrapping the ESC with a balloonand zip tie the opening shut, then I just leave the servo as is but run a bead of hot glue or rubber cement around the seams. No RC should be submerged in water but this method above will get you through moderate snow and mud.
