Darryl, we do not need to know your every thought. OR at the very least, you could put ALL your thoughts into ONE post instead of making 4 or 5 separate posts. As for the questions, you could try researching them on your own (ie google, previous posts on RCU etc...) before just asking. Like I said in your other post try to help yourself.

i have looked into a spectrum receiver for the savage flux hp and i am going to get the spectrum receiver so i can use my spectrum radio instead of the cheap hpi radio they include with the truck which is very cheesy looking. the spectrum feels way better in my hands.

Yes, you should be able to use your DX3s. As for the receiver you want one that will work with the DX3s.
