another 1/5 scale traxxas
Ive decided to build a 1/5 scale out of a traxxas again!
A few parts will be the same as the stampede I did awhile back...
Redcat Rampage XT body...this time in red,
Earthquake 8e wheels and tires (the largest 12mm wheels I know of)
And this time Ill be starting with a 2wd slash. Im getting a roller for $30!
Its well used, and things like links and shocks will likely be thrown out for new ones.
I dont know if I will have to widen the front/rear track like I had on the stamped (which I widened the front)
Driveshafts were an issue on the 1/5 stampede. Integgy cvd's didnt work well with the rear jacked way up(to short) and stock shafts snapped pretty easy. I may try MIP, but thats an expensive option.
My 1/5 stampede vxl worked fairly well. I managed to have the extra size without loosing too much durability. I hope this time around to improve on the original attempt.
