In a pickle
So last night I take my slash to the track(indoor carpet w/ jumps and a quarter pipe) and low and behold I see a few buggies. Well the 2wd buggy class is super fast. I love the speed and agility. Now come summer we go outside to the clay offroad track. They still have the buggy class but the outdoor track is a little large for buggies. I can't afford to build another car so don't know if I want to get rid of my sct for a buggy or not. Ugh decisions decisions. And there is absolutely no way the wife will let have both. Not w/ our income in this economy.

RE: In a pickle
Just explain to her as I did with my wife....of all the hobbies to have, this can be relatively cheap. Can be. If you want. Buy a buggy for a couple hundred and you are done. You already have the batteries and charger. After that its no more expensive than with one car. Use logic on her. You can never have too many Rc vehicles.

I can't stop aaahhhh!!! Buggy, sct, buggy, sct, buggy, sct, if I sell this and this I can buy that w/ x amount of $ then I'll only need to buy them. R/C addiction sucks. Why couldn't I get addicted to booze or drugs, atleast there's meetings for that lol.

Losi 8ight E, Associated RC8Be, HPI Vorza Flux, pick one, get one and don't look back
By 2wd buggy I assume you 1/10, they are more quick than fast, and I love seeing how prcise they can cut a corner, but from what I hear it is one of the hardest classes to drive fast, and it'll make a real driver out of you. Then I saw the 1/8 buggies. Wow, I HAD to have one! Now my SCT just sits there because I robbed it's servo and radio gear when I got my own 1/8 buggy. Batteries cost more because they're bigger and such, parts and electronics and such are more costly, but I found mine from a fellow racer for $250, and I bought THREE 4s LiPo and a brand new Hobbico power supply for another $60

Dude, here,s how I work it: wife alots $x for lunches, beers with the guys, etc. Pocket that and skimp on yourself a little. Need to use the cash withdrawal machine, get an extra $10, save it. Wife sends you to market, get the cash back option if you use your CC or ATM card. Before you know it you have enough for your buggy. Then you tell your girl it was 'real cheap' on eBay or craigslist and you just couldn't pass it up. Bam there you go, got your buggy.

Ebay, Craigslist and RCTech. All a growing boy needs to put together a chop shop special.
