Which 1/8e buggy to get?
So the local hobby shop asked me to do some work in trade I get to race the season for free and choose an 1/8 scale buggy. Sunday I'll be hauling in 10 loads of really nice clay and building a track w/ my cat 953c. So I now have to choose a buggy. I decided to go electric. They run nitro and electric same class. So please help I don't know where to begin. Losi, ofna, associated? Some insight please from other racers.

For 1/8 scale, Mugen should be your only answer.

ThunderbirdJunkie will say he was impressed with the build quality of the Duratrax DXR8E or wth ever it's called for the money, but ITBJHO, you can't beat Mugen's quality and durability at any price point. Plus, it's a point-and-shoot car. Very forgiving to drive for somebody just getting into 1/8 scale. The Losi, while a great car, slops out quickly, and the AE car just isn't as good. Another thing to consider is how much of a tank Mugen's 1/8 scales are; That $100ish you save buying an RC8.2Be or whatever it is now you will want to spend on extra spare parts vs the Mugen.
The fanboyism is probably shining through brightly, but eh, whatever[&:]
*EDIT*
OK so the necessary $100 to spend on shock towers on the DXR8 puts you at MBX6Eco money. Get the Eco.

Losi car for sure. The durability arguement is BS, anyone who crashes can break something. And you will crash. Which car can you get parts for the easiest? Thats the car you should be racing, its that simple.
