You should get the Savage XS.......
There isn't a 4wd Slash out there that can take this tyoe of beating and keep coming back for more..

And here it is doing standing backflips...

RE: Savage XS or Slash 4x4?
I'd take a pede 4X4 over a slash 4X4 for bashing as it has better clearance due to taller tires, and a body that doesn't make it rock like a 1977 cutlass going down the express way at 70 mph in 40mph winds(I've seen it, and its what the slash 4X4's driving reminded me of)... I had a slash 4X4, and didn't like it so I converted it to a pede 4X4 and liked it way more.
Can't say anything about a savage XS as I've not owned one

Hmm, well i have heard a lot of good things about both trucks, but the Slash isn't really a basher IMO, and a lot of other people say that too! So i would get the XS cause that looks like a fun little thing LOL

I'd go with the Savage XS due to the fact it's cheaper and it can take a beating judging from what I have read about it. For bashing purposes I would get the Stampede over the Slash if my heart was set on that platform.

I tried to fix the poll but I can't. I'll raise it with tech support...
I'd probably go Savage XS too, but the kit version, with good quality stuff in it.

RE: Savage XS or Slash 4x4?
I was wondering why nobody was voting , if I were to get the savage XS kit, what brushless system should I put in it? I want the total cost of the XS kit and the brushless system to be about the same cost as RTR, AND I want the brushless system to perform as well or faster/better (in a perfect world).
Thanks!
Thanks!

seeing its an $80 difference you aren't going to make the xs ss kit for the same cost as the RTR seeing the radio even the cheapest 2.4ghz on the market costs $20, and a $60 BL setup won't work. the BL setup will probably cost $100 (HW EZ-run 60A) at least and potentially a servo ($20) as I'm not sure if the kit has one it doesn't mentioned ones needed but also doesn't state its included, plus batteries.

Not possible. I would probably put the Castle 1410 4-pole system in it, but that'll run you $239 alone with the MMP speed control. It'll be a beast and well worth it, but if you ain't got that much budget, just get the RTR.

I would think the 60A ez-run could move it. seeing the stock on the RTR is supposedly like 50amps
The SC10 might work which is a little more expensive, and 70Amps. But from what I read theres a lot of ppl likeing the SC8 esc on it.
