Washing Mud Off a Non-Waterproof RC
Hey, it just rained about 3 hours ago, and things outside were drying up. So I took my Evader out because I had that strong urge to run it (Hadn't ran it all week). Well, after a few speed runs down our pretty smooth dirt road, it was quite caked with mud. And still is.Should I run it for a while when the ground drys out and try to wear off the mud? Should I try spraying it down and avoiding the receiver (All electronics are water proof except the receiver)? But with that last thought, some metal parts will rust. Will that weaken the metal, or will the rust just wear off after a little use?
I need HELP!!! I can't even bring it in the house (my workshop is half of my room) it's so muddy!!! Any replys will be greatly appreciated!

First remove any none waterproof electronics, Then spray her down. Next (hope you have WD-40) Spray any metal parts (Screws, Turnbuckles), and bearings. I try to spray the bearings while they are still in the bearing carries and such. AVOID THE ELECTRONICS AT ALL COSTS. Do not spray any of the electronics with the WD-40. The WD-40 prevents screws and turnbuckles from rusting and lubricates the bearings.

I thought about doing that, but my reciever is double-sided taped in. Also my esc was nearly impossible to install bacause the screw is so hard to get to.[:@]

Problem solved!! I took it out and did some speed runs now that it's dry, and the wind must have crumbled the dirt right off. Also after the speed runs, I took a wet rag, and wiped it down. It's pretty clean now. Thanks for the replies!
