XXX-SCT gearing help
I recently bought a XXX-SCT and installed a Tekin Pro / w 13.5 motor. I currently have the stock 88 spur and put a 21 pinion but am unhappy with the performance. I was just wondering if anyone out the has any suggestions on what i should gear this system at? I run a stock Slash with almost the same gearing and the VXL system and it has way more power and speed. Any advice is greatly appriciated

I'd suspect that the motor system is the difference. Your Tekin is a 13.5T, but what is the VXL motor? Also, are the two vehicles' tire/wheel combos the same diameter? Are you monitoring the motor temp? That should give you a clue, too. If it's not very warm, go up in gearing, if it's too hot, go down.
