Default LiFe Batteries

Hi there,
I want to know if is ok to use a LiFe 6.6V 1700 mAh with the electronic, (receiver and servos) in a nitro Buggy The receiver is a Futaba R603FF 6V and the servos are Hitec Digital 6V too.
Thanks for your help.

life batteries are ok for electronics- id go with more capacity though, say, 2500mah minimum.

should use a UBEC with that IMO
they are pretty cheap like $7 for a 5A one
just say this cause I know of at least 1 receiver that will fry from voltage being over 6V's.

5 cell hump pack is 6volts (maybe 6.6 not under any load)
where a life pack should be 6.6 when its dead vs a lifes 7.2volts charged
a life will also hold its voltage under load where the NiMh will drop to the point electronics aren't damaged.

The UBEC is just my recommendation, as I like to play it safe than sorry when it comes to potential electronics damage specially when using it in a nitro that you can lose complete control of the RC due to failure

Also note I said some RX's fry I know there are some with the BEC built into the RX too. If its known for a fact the RX has it built in then I'd skip the UBEC

I allways thought LiFe receiver packs are fine to use on receivers with out a Regulator

Don't quote me but was once told most 2.4ghz systems use the same chip and can take up to 10v

Because of the 2s lipo capable servos most receivers can handle 8.4v

The thing to check is can ur servo's handle 7.2v?
