Default LRP80230 Issue

My son got this new speedo and I'm having some issues getting it to configure correctly. Everything is connected and working however it doesn't appear that we are getting full power our of it. When going to full throttle the LED stays yellow and doesn't move to green. According to the directions this means that it's only using partial throttle and given the speed of the car I'd say that is correct. Have set it up several times and tried what I know how to do. Does anyone know how to get the control to move to full power?

Thanks in advance.

There should be a callibration routine, are you sure you completed it successfully?

I've re-configured to the controller several times and think I have done it correctly. I get the same result. Everything works but the LED indicates it never goes passed partial power.

I'd send it in for repairs, or exchange under their warranty;  warranty.

When calibrating the radio to the ESC, did ya make sure the throttle trim on the radio was set to neutral/center first?

I did make sure it was set to center. Just to make sure I re-calibrated again and still have the same result. Just judging from the speed I can tell it's not running like it should.

This may sound stupid, but some ESCs have it were when the battery voltage is low, the ESC sets to half-power. (As stupid as this sounds) Is your battery charged?

That's not stupid at all, this ESC actually shuts down when the battery gets too low.  I have charged it all the way up and still have the same issue.  Great idea!  I'm sure it's something simple like that....at least I keep telling myself that.

I would send it under warranty, and have them walk you through it with the new one. Just to be on the safe side.

BTW good to see someone from the Overland Park area on here! Im on the Kansas side of KC but right now reside in Pittsburg.

Hope you get this sorted out!!
