*** Official Associated SC10B Thread ***
I've never had the honor and priveledge of starting an "official" thread. Since Ilearned of this new release from the A-Team I thought a proper thread dedicated to it would be the right thing to do. This is already on my X-mas wish list! Buggy fans, rejoice!

I hope a Factory Team kit is in the works.

Finally someone else acknowledges this thread!
I'm sure it's all a matter of time but, a Factory Team kit is what I'm looking forward to. I may have to retire my SC10RS. I've been a AE fan for a long time and have always like buggies in general. Started with a RC10, then a B4 so a SC10B seems like a natural progression.

Considering that I already own an RS and AE won't release a FT kit, about all you need is the new pan, body and roll cage to do a basic conversion. From what I can see, the real car has different front arms, shock tower and wheels. I would use standard sized SC racing tires all around.

I looked into it a little more. Theh buggy and truck share the same chassis from what I can tell. besides the front suspension components you would need the bumpers and the roll cage which is made up of about 4 or 5 different part numbers. I cant tell if the rruck front shock tower will work with the buggy body. Oh, you also need the special body posts.
After I clean up some other RC projects I will likely convert my truck to a buggy.

The blue aluminum bodied shocks are shared between the truck and the buggy and the T4.1. The big bores are optional shocks which are a larger diameter, have threaded bodies and Titanium-Nitride coated shock shafts. You can use those too for smoother suspension action. The Proline Powerstroke shocks will fit just the same and have similar features.
