Losi SCTE motor/battery questions
Hey guys, just bought my SCTE roller and I had some questions about what electronics to put in.
First off, I've decided to go with the Ten shock 401 motor/ESC combo but I'm not sure which kV would be best. I will almost exclusively bashing only and I plan to run 3s. I have the choice between 5000, 4400, 3800, and 3400. Which one will give me the best balance of top end, torque, heat, runtime, etc.?
Secondly, what is the largest 3s I can squeeze into the batter tray?
Any advice is appreciated!!

On 3S, I'd probably go with the 3400kv motor. 5000kv would just be stupid-fast (not in a good way) and would probably get too hot. Double-check your battery tray dimensions against the battery pack dimensions. You don't want to get your new battery only to find out it won't fit. Look up the specs.

RE: Losi SCTE motor/battery questions
For bashing I used 5300 Turnigy in mine. I know I know a lot of uninformed people think Turnigy is junk. I know different. For bashing they are great, and cheap. And the best up grade for your Losi is CERAMIC BEARINGS. Noticable increase in speed, acceleration and run time.
