I had the same problem. What I did was sandwich a trimmed stock Rustler shock tower between the Pro-Line ProTrac shock tower and the Pro-Line extended body mount. If you look really close to this picture, you can see the original Rustler body mount between the two. Now the body mounts lined up perfectly with the ones intended for the Slash body.

What A FREAK'N Headache!
this body mount has had to be one of the first things to give me so much trouble. finally gonna leave it as is, since i dont think its gonna get much better than how i got it now.
gonna mark where im making the holes and move on to planning the paint job.
heres what i ended up doing with the mount.

I know exactly what you mean. It took me a little while to figure it out to until I saw my stock shock tower sitting in my tackle box. Then the light bulb went on. Keep in mind, I built the car for this body specifically, that's why I used the parts I did.
Can't wait to see yours painted. Great job on the build so far.

OMG! ....
so ive finally buttoned up this body, (for the most part anyways) ....
been a while to get to this point but honestly pretty hard for me to dedicate the time during the week, or even the weekends for that matter, being only able to dedicate an hour or so every couple days. = (
pretty happy with the end result overall although i learned quite a bit and know now for next time the few things that i'd do differently. not bad over all for my first ....

thanks Lars!!
well it took me long enough for sure! LOL! we'll see how it holds up once i get to bash'n and crash'n and flipp'n and slide'n! either way i feel great that i saw it through and finished. learned a whole lot in the process too. not just talking about the painting but the swapping out of the parts and modifying of the rear mount, etc.,etc..
was just a great learning experience over all. took a little longer than id hoped but hey ...
