Question 48p to 32p: Is it worth the switch?

I just bought a Vaterra Glamis Uno from my LHS and a 3s. I've heard many problems about this car not being able to handle 4s stock because it melts the spur and/or the slipper. Any suggestions? I read up on another forum about how someone converted theirs to 32p and didn't have any problems.

Bottom line, I would like to know what I need to buy and what mods I have to do to get something to fit well. I don't mind dremeling a bit.

I asked the same question regarding the traxxas Rustler.
Many do the upgrade on the traxxas as the finer teeth on the 48p will wear or strip when playing with the bigger power. I suspect I will have to go this route soon with my 4s and stronger motor.
As for what is needed, in theory, a pinion and spur with the same ratio as your current. That being said, I was told that doing this upgrade, the gear cover for my rustler wouldn't fit, so I've been holding off as a gear cover is a must for snow running.
Hopefully someone that knows that specific model can offer more specific info.

unfortunately i cant offer model-specific advice but i will take 32p over 48p anyday - much more strength and the much better hex size on the set screw - i absolutely hate those tiny set screws in 48p gears - they strip hexes so easily
