ecx boost tranny issue
I went up to my local track last weekend to practice I ended up coming home with an ecx boost it was cheap and handled surprisingly good well needless to say I got bored of going slow and put mamba side winder3 in it on a 2s and now it's ridiculous but the tranny doesn't seem like its going to hold up and the driveshafts look weak anybody ever build one looking for some advice on how to beef it up

If you have a properly adjusted slipper clutch and set your punch and brake levels to something reasonable you can survive with the stock transmission and driveshafts. You'll need to research and find out what version you have as well because it might already have the ECX HD shafts linked above. Was the ESC or servo waterproof when you bought it?

My Feedback: (1)
Hey Collector, does that differential have pins behind the large bevel gears that go thru the drive cup shafts?
When I converted my Evader to brushless, those pins would break, and then the diff gears would get munched. I learned about using Music Wire for those pins in the diff and for wheel drive pins. That stuff NEVER breaks, and you can buy bundles of three 30in lengths for like $3. Cut pieces to length and you have a lifetime supply of pins for pennies!

In the past I've fitted those alloy hex's with the little clamping screw... It solved 2 problems
Each time I removed a wheel the hex would get stuck in the wheel and the pin would fallout.
worn out wheel nuts.... If the wheel came a little bit loose it use to drop the pin.
