A guy on youtube has one, his channel is aussiercplayground. The avc function is pretty cool, he does a video on it.
Id like to get one, but im an axial & redcat guy.

Truck looks nice. I'd go for it if it didn't have a hefty 400 dollar price tag.

Yeah, the AVC sounds interesting. Could help with a monster truck. I'd like to get the Losi RallyX that also has the AVC, as I'm a WRC fan. But balked at the $400 price tag also. Ended up getting an Ofna/HoBao Hyper 10TT truggy for $189 as a roller. Had the electronics, so it was a cheap option. Like it alot too.

How do you think that it compares to the Traxxas Stampede 4x4 VXL?

What, the Halix compared to the Stampede? Hmmm..... I might go with the Stampy, just because they're everywhere, and parts are plenty, especially RPM parts, which are known to be better than Traxxas parts. The Vaterra has no such aftermarket support, but then there's that AVC....which is pretty cool.
Tough choice.
