Default So my VXL-3s ESC just fried, what should I get?

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new ESC and possibly motor for my Stampede 4x4. I don't really know what's right, and I would really love to keep it on somewhat of a budget (relative to the cost of RC motors/esc's), I stumbled upon a new Castle product that was released this year that looks appealing to me, it's called the Sidewinder 8th...

http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...winder8th.html

EDIT: Should have noted, you can snag these on eBay shipped for about 155$

Would this work well? I usually run 2s, sometimes 3s lipos, and I don't really want to go back to the stock ESC/Motor

Thanks for any help and opinions!

The Hobbywing combos are great... Just as good as castle and 2/3 of the price

That Sidewinder 8th is an awesome little combo. I'd highly recommend it. Just note that you may have to dremel on your chassis a tad to make it fit.
