scx10 shocks
With my biggest problem being fixed thanks to BZoz!
I now have another ?
With the shocks in my honcho, they don't seem to have any oil in them now they were leaking out of the box and its all leaked out.
Should I put oil in them? Would it hinder the articulation rate?
I haven't noticed anything seeming odd about how it handles. However its a smidge bit bouncy.
I have 30, 40 & 50wt oils.

To be honest it does bugger all, the stock shocks are really bad for leaking.
for general bashing I wouldn't stress to much if it still performs how u like....
generally shock oil is more useful in high wheel speed situations, ie.
trailing, (improves stability, steering and grip)
steep hill climbs on loose surfaces. (Reduces "diff bounce")
but all in all the difference is marginal, because at low speeds it doesn't really matter

My Feedback: (3)
No worries, glad to help. On my Dingo kit, the plastic shocks leak. I thought it was just my truck but I've heard this from other owners also. The Aluminum bodies on my Wrangler don't seem to leak, or very little if they do. The oil won't effect the performance too terribly since the suspension moves slowly. I was using 10WT so that the truck would bounce and sway a little and create a more realistic looking body motion. Thicker oil will prevent that. On the rocks, just use what you have. 30WT would be fine and it's probably what Axial puts in the RTRs anyhow. Also, as long as you're openeing them up I strongly encourage you to pickup some "Team Associated Green Slime" and smear that all over the O-rings and the shock shafts. You'll have to disassemble the shocks a bit but it'll help prevent the shafts from sticking when the truck sits still and make the movement smoother.

I dare say 10wt is going to leak straight out the stock shocks... I wouldn't bother....
if u are really keen, spend $60 on a new set of shocks that won't leak, but it's a lot of money just to fix a leak..... Good thing they look cool I guess lol
here are mine....

Those kings look badass.
I've got gmade piggy backs on my exo and they work phenomenal!
I think some kings will have to go on there in the future!
Right now I've got another adventure trying to take off. Which I'll be starting a new thread in a minute for.
